Workshop Recap: Exploring the Future of Housing & Transportation in North Carolina

The North Carolina Housing Table recently hosted a dynamic virtual workshop that brought together key voices to discuss the intersection of housing access, policy, and transportation in our growing state.

We were honored to welcome special guests, including Former Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin and Raleigh City Council Member Corey Branch, who offered invaluable insight into how local leadership is shaping the future of urban development, affordability, and equitable transportation.

Throughout the session, attendees gained a deeper understanding of:

  • How transportation planning and zoning decisions influence housing availability

  • The importance of regional collaboration to address housing shortages

  • Creative solutions emerging at the local and state levels to expand access

We’re grateful to all of our speakers, partners, and attendees for their time and thoughtful contributions. These conversations are vital as we work toward sustainable, inclusive communities across North Carolina.
